A History of Hockey in Sunrise
The Florida Panthers have been playing their home games at FLA Live Arena (formerly known as the Sunrise Sports Arena) since 1998. The arena is located in Sunrise, Florida, which is a town just west of Fort Lauderdale and just north of Miami. Sunrise is a part of Broward County and is home to the Florida Panthers live events and the biggest shows in South Florida.
FLA Live Arena
The arena was built in 1998 and has been the home of the Florida NHL club since the 1998-99 season. The arena has a capacity of 19,250 and is the largest arena in Broward County. FLA Live Arena has hosted a variety of events, including concerts, sporting events, and trade shows.
Getting to FLA Live Arena
From Fort Lauderdale on Interstate 595 West
Take exit 11 (Sawgrass Expressway) and head north. Take exit 1B (Sunrise Boulevard) and head west. FLA Live Arena will be on your left.
From the South on Interstate 75
Take exit 25 (Sunrise Boulevard) and head east. FLA Live Arena will be on your right.
