Man City sign Jeremy Doku
Deal takes City spending over £100m this summer
The Belgian winger has joined from Rennes for an undisclosed fee, signing a five-year deal at the Etihad.
Doku, 21, has made 10 international appearances for Belgium, including at the 2020 Euros and 2022 World Cup. He is seen as one of the most promising young wingers in Europe and will add pace and creativity to Pep Guardiola's squad.
City have been in the market for a new winger this summer following the departure of Raheem Sterling to Chelsea. Doku is a similar type of player to Sterling, with his direct running and ability to beat defenders.
Doku will wear the No. 11 shirt at City, which was previously worn by Sterling. He will be available to make his debut in the Premier League match against Newcastle on Saturday.
The signing of Doku takes City's spending over £100m this summer. They have already signed Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, and Kalvin Phillips.
