Primoz Roglic has decided to leave Jumbo-Visma and join Bora-Hansgrohe, sources close to the team and Roglic's agent have confirmed. The Slovenian rider has signed a contract through the 2027 season, which will see him focus on the 2024 Tour de France.
Roglic has been with Jumbo-Visma since 2019, and has enjoyed great success with the team. He has won the Vuelta a España three times, as well as the Giro d'Italia in 2020. However, he has never won the Tour de France, which is one of his main goals.
Bora-Hansgrohe is a German team that has been looking to bolster its squad for the 2023 season. The team has already signed Aleksandr Vlasov and Wilco Kelderman, and Roglic is seen as the final piece of the puzzle.
Roglic's move to Bora-Hansgrohe is a major coup for the team. He is one of the best riders in the world, and his addition will make Bora-Hansgrohe a contender for the Tour de France.
