The Governor-General of the Philippines, officially known as Gobernador-Heneral ng Pilipinas, was the title of the highest-ranking official during the colonial periods of the Philippines.
Governments
- Governor-Generals represented the Spanish monarchy and colonial government from 1565 to 1898.
- From 1898 to 1901 the Governor-General represented the First Philippine Republic
- From 1901 to 1935 the Governor-General represented the United States Insular Government
- From 1935 to 1946 the Governor-General represented the Commonwealth of the Philippines, a self-governing territory of the United States.
