Dallas Cowboys Release Veteran Receiver Martavis Bryant
Cowboys Announce Roster Changes
The Dallas Cowboys have made a roster move, releasing veteran receiver Martavis Bryant on Wednesday, ending his brief tenure with the team.
Bryant joined the Cowboys' practice squad in November, looking to revive his NFL career after a five-year absence. However, the team has decided to part ways with the 29-year-old.
Bryant's NFL Journey
Bryant was once a promising wideout, selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He had a breakout season in 2015, catching 50 passes for 765 yards and six touchdowns.
However, Bryant's career was derailed by multiple suspensions for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He was released by the Steelers in 2018 and has struggled to find a consistent home since then.
Bryant's signing with the Cowboys was seen as an opportunity for him to get his career back on track, but it ultimately did not come to fruition.
